Just finished four boxes of halves and $180 in BWR halves.

    Box 1: '68
    Box 2: '64, four '67's and a '68
    Box 3: '65
    Box 4: '68
    $180 BWR: skunk

Not roll searching but I was able to buy a small lot of coins for 5% off of spot and one of the coins was a 1856 seated liberty quarter. My first one. I also got four standing liberty quarters. I was pretty stoked about that.

The best part is these coins were basically free as I also bought some ASE's ranging from '86 to '08 at 5% behind spot and flipped them today for almost $2 above spot. I didn't want to hang on to them as they were pretty beat up and I like BU ASE's.

the 1984 is zinc rot, the 1959 is a lamination which are always neat finds

ok 84 i am puzzled as how the l in liberty has the shap of a 2 the angle in the L that it should be is far greater than that of wich it appears to be now. and for the 59 the laminate is this a premium error or just one for the cool finds album

Both are damaged and worth nothing. The '59-D looks like it was stamped, laminations don't look like that, as far as I've seen.

Did a box of halves today, kinda awesome, 10 40%ers and a '64. Also got a bag with $656, which was a skunk. Someone is dumping there.

Also did 3 boxes of dimes which gave up 4 roosies, including a '61 proof, and a '60 Canadian, and a bag with $619, which only gave up 2, including a '43 Merc.

This is my first week roll searching after finding 8 plus rolls of unsearched wheats at the local store. I got a ton of very nice wheats and some semi key dates 1910s 1911s 1912s and 5 1924 d. So I went to the bank today which is literally 100 Yards from the store and got 20 rolls of cents 4 rolls of dimes and 130 in halfs. I ended up with nothing on the halfs. 1 1963 dime 98 1943 steel cents and 42 random wheats no good dates I was really hoping for silver in the halfs but had to try some more penny's since I figured the original wheats came from there.

Collection - 98x steel cents? Hot dang! That's amazing. I have only ever had 6 total, and those are from back when I was a child, from coin shops. I am as jealous as jealous can be :)

did my last $1000 bag of halves today - skunk. That puts my 2012 total at:

    4x $1000 bag of halves - skunk
    1x $1000 bag of halves - 15x 40%, 1x 90%

NOT good! I am ready to quit halves for now. I'm going to finish louping this last bag tomorrow, dump 'em, and then go back to dimes and nickels.

The halves aren't even marked... I don't think it's anyone else's dumped coins, just terrible luck! :p The bags were each from coin machines from different banks, different towns (the bags say where they come from).

I swear, if silver hits $35 again, I just may cash it all out.

Searched $140 in nickels wound up with 2 war nickels and 5 buffalo 3 dateless 2 1936. Four of the buffalos came from one roll, that was a surprise!

    Steel cents

Yeah I was pretty lucky finding them I have a huge coin collection and was actually trying to add. Silver but any addition is wecome, I think there is a lot more wheats and possibly steel cents at the bank. Someone is cashing in a lot of old cents , this week 482 wheats plus the 98 steel, I'm hoping the silver. Starts coming in I'm friends with the teller so I will have first dibs on the goods, lol

This happened about a month ago but I waited to get a picture. ( To suffice the "pictures or it didn't happen" people lol )

My mother in law is a bank teller and told me a lady had brought in some old half dollars and wanted to know if she could still cash in "old coins". My mother in law bought them and gave them to me for my birthday.

When I got the two rolls of half dollars I noticed that both the wrappers where from a company in my hometown that didn't exist anymore ( I later found out they closed in 1949 ish ). Both rolls of halves where all walking liberty halves! 1917-1943.

Since then I decided to go to the bank she works for other branches ( 4 branches $80 worth of halves ) I found 3 40% kennedys. Attached is a picture of all of them.......and yes I know I got really lucky.
