Anyone have experience ordering coins from Goldmart? I am considering ordering from them but before I do so I wanted to see what others experienced from them.

How was the shipping and the condition of the coins?

    Thanks.

Never heard of them before. However, I find it a bit suspicious as they have listed on their front page:

2012 1 oz American Gold EagleOur price: $1,673.47

These haven't been released yet, and the price on the one ounce buffaloes are at $1860.00, one ounce eagles were the same price as the buffaloes.

Not sure what you saw, but they state that the 2012 gold eagles are for pre-sale. The 2011 gold buffalo is currently $1,676.27 at their site. I don't see a 2012 buffalo. They seem to have pretty reasonable prices, but I've never bought from them.

I think the Goldmart gold eagle is the coin the mint does not sell directly, but distributes to the APs to sell. It's the regular bullion issue. The buffalo and the gold eagle for $1,860.00 are the proof coins, I think. I have never purchased from Goldmart either, so I have no first-hand opinion.

I was looking to purchase some of the canadian grizzlies from them at only $4.99 over spot. Great price but I want to make sure they are legit.

It concerns me that no one has heard of them.

I was referring to the U.S. Mint's website and prices for the 2011 eagles and buffaloes. Not the GoldMart site.

As I said, what's suspicious is the fact that they are pre-selling 2012 1 oz. gold for considerably less than what the Mint has priced on the 2011, and would be reasonable to predict the opening issue price on the 2012 golds from the Mint.

I said this earlier in this thread, but I will try it again. The Mint does not sell the gold bullion listed on the Goldmart website directly to the public. It is sold through its system of Authorized Purchasers, who also sell to dealers. Goldmart is a dealer. The price for the gold bullion eagle is easily in the range offered by Goldmart. What you are seeing on the Mint's website is the price for gold PROOF and gold UNCIRCULATED coins, which the Mint does sell directly to the public. Proof and uncirculated eagle offerings, whether they be gold or silver, are typically priced higher than the basic bullion coins. There is nothing suspicious about Goldmart's pricing on their coin, which is a gold eagle BULLION.

I bought a slabbed coin from them which had an obvious flaw in the middle. Not bad but was noticeable to me. Call and talked to some guy who talked a good game and said he would talked with his supervisor(who was not there)and promised to get back to me. Well never heard anything.

They charge something like two and a half percent if you use your credit card. Shipping I though was high but it was very fast

I did not have a pleasant experience with them but maybe that was just me. Will not do business with them again

This was my concern! Cheap and fast but with a chance of getting a coin not exactly what you thought it was. That is not a risk I am willing to take. I want to know what I buy is was is represented. I try to get my bullion in the original tube in BU condition. Just my preference.
