i am going to start selling off the chicago collection

hello all my fellow paper money collectors. I haven't been on the forums in quite some time. most of the older member will know me. to the newer members hello. i have been putting the chicago collection together for sometime now. i have come to a point in my life where i need to start selling it off. i hate to do it but it must be done. getting divorced suck . in the next week or so i will be posting the collection bit by bit on ebay. i have more notes then i could have ever imagined. if you are curious of what some of the collection contains all you have to do is click the links in my signature or search in the forum under chicago collection and you will find my posts. i have many other notes that are not from the chicago reserve. they will also be going up. i have large and small sized notes that will be for sale. i will post the auctions on the forum once they start going up. i will also be selling my extensive coin collection as well. keep an eye out and help a brother raise some cash :thumb:

yes it is. hope to start putting stuff up this weekend. that is really only a drop in the bucket of what i have.

I am sorry to hear of your plight. I do however, know the feeling of having to sell something you truly love.
I know I will never be able to replace the Large Size Collection in my life time. I am grateful that I have the Small size Collection Still.
I am at the point where the required notes just do not come around so often and are pretty rare.
I wish you luck and hope the best comes out of this for you.

 

thank you rick. you were definitely instrumental in my collecting. i am glad to see you around. i just feel at this point its time to move on. getting divorced has made me reevaluate my life. my collection is just one facet of my life that has and will continue to change. i am ready for whatever comes my way :thumb:

Sorry to hear about this Urban. Look to the future though, you never know what change may bring and where the next bright opportunity will arise.

 

Just a suggestion before you resort to the perfidy of having to use eBay - have you thought about doing up a listing of your notes and posting in the BST? Save yourself those usurious fees that way - more money in your pocket and happy CT customers.

There are some of us who also collect that particular district, in my case from bank/circulation finds.

 

i am going through ebay so i can hopefully reach a much wider audience.
