    Lincoln Cents Cents not pennies

Great find, Noobismatist. I wish I had your luck :D.
First box of cent in 2012...
    1 wheat cent (1952 D)
Disappointing to say the least, although a lamination that went across a strip of a cent and a die chip that covered the 9 on the date softened the "blow".

I bought a box of nickels on New Year's Eve and I had some good finds:

1936D (my first Buffalo from a box)
    1939x3
    1945D (silver)
    1945S (silver)
    1956-A.U. condition
    1956D-B.U. condition
    1986D-B.U. condition

There were also a few other nickels in nice condition but these are the highlights from the box. I also found a 1989 Canadian nickel and a nickel that was ground on one side, looks kind of interesting.

man, I love that ground nickel :p I "collect" interesting looking damaged coins that catch my eye - only ones from circulation, won't buy them or damage them myself. but if they are already damaged, and interesting, they go in my "ugly" bag :p And this one would have a place of honor... lol! Nice find, IMO :)

today I did $1000 in halves again. 0 silver, but someone dumped a roll or 2 of awesomely tones MS bicentennials in there. I will be posting a few pictures later in another thread :) As this bag was only $1 short, and there was $0.91 in other loose change mixed in, I consider this bag a "win" ;)

There was also a 50 pence 7-sided coin in there. On the reverse, it gave the dictionary definitions of "50" and "pence"? Lol! I've never seen this coin before :)

You and me both! I went to my Wed pickup bank yesterday, and they didn't get the order in over the holidays. So, it'll be another week. I had enough time to go through $80 in dimes at lunch, but I did get 1 x 1951 Rosie. First Silver of 2012.

Hopefully my guy ordered my halves for today when I went in on Tuesday, sometimes he gets forgetful. I'll be hoping to land my first silver of the new year from these boxes. Since I've been hunting for a while now the skunks don't bother me as much which is a good thing because I seem to be getting more and more of them.

Got my first silver today (of the New Year). I picked up two boxes of halves on my lunch break and one was filthy dirty and the other was broken open but retaped shut by Dunbar.

Box 1 (dirty) - did 25 rolls only and got a 1969-D and a 1966 ender of which I saved the roll for my wife or boy to open later, maybe there will be more silver in there. The ender is my first ever from a box. I also got 3 clad proofs so far which are also my first. Two are brilliant and one is impared slighty but they look cool and I'll be saving those.
Then I switched to Box 2 (taped) - and did 25 rolls for another 1966

Still have 50 rolls to open later and I'm looking forward to that.

Got 2 boxes today. 1st box, again, 2 solid rolls of BU 98s but I also got 2 68s and a 69. My other bank forgot to order for me but she had $160 in CWR. I know there's another guy around here who searches and dumps at my bank but I took them anyway. I'll wind up running them through the machine so I figured I'd take them off her hands. Good thing I did. I found a 68 and a 64!

No more halves for me this week unless I decide to go teller tray hopping on Saturday. But I'm very happy with my score this week.

Always take them even if you think they are dumps and always search them. It obviously paid off for you, so good for you in doing it the right way. I took $500 in CWR of someones dump and searched them all again. Not a single silver in the bunch, the good was that he did not short any of the rolls.
