Well I took my Christmas money and got me some hole fillers and some upgrades. Got me a Proof Korean War Commemorative for $23, 7 common date SLH(one was a AG 1916!) and Franklin halfs for $11.50 each, a 48,56 AU Franklins 34,35 SLH AU and a AU 55 Franklin. I also picked up a 1903 1 Peso Philippines and a Mexican 5 Peso 1947 both for $48. Overall a great x-mas.

    Hello All.
I've got so many cool coins, just give em a little time to take some pictures and post.
    a starter:
    a 1953-S 50C MS65 Franklin,
It may have the Full Bell Line.
    It's PCGS MS65 #6666.65/13634408
Possibly the PCGS # will tell.

    1879 S Morgan MS 65 NGC# 324150-006

    1944 50C MS 64 SEGS# 5021261353921486008
    ______
I do have many NTC grades Morgans, I know they don't grade as high as they claim. I will still share them though. Ya'Ll all have a GReat New Year!

My coin purchase for myself was the last upgrade to my circulation strike two cent set.

The 53 Franklin is not an FBL or it would be on the label of the slab.

The 79-S is a bit on the common side in that grade and I think NGC has slabbed 20,000 or more in that grade.

The 44 half, I doubt is a MS64. SEGS is a basement grader and is know for over grading everything. Probably more like a 62/63 tops.

That's not necessarily true...it may still be an FBL if it were regraded. Many coins are on the boarder and one day won't grade and the next day will. I just depends on the graders and their opinions that day. We would need photos to know for sure, but just because the slab doesn't call it an FBL doesn't mean for certain that it's not.

My favorite gift was a loose 1922D penny from a friend. He has been upgrading his pennies on ebay and gave me an old one he had.

Nice pick-up. You just reminded me, I have to start upgrading some of my 2¢ and 3¢ pieces. Both are favorites of mine. This will have to be one of my objectives for 2012.

A friend bought this three legger raw and we couldn't decide on a price for me to buy it until it was graded. The price jumps at each grade level were just too much for us to shoot from the hip so we got the pros help. It was a tough call as although it is a MS coin with tons of mint luster, it has a hairline or two under the buffalo's legs. It was certified MS 62 which seems just right for the coin. I originally bought it an item to resell and put the profit into another type of coin, but the coin grew on me and then my wife even suggested we keep it and so we figured out a way to just buy it from ourselves and call it a Christmas present for the family. Typing this I feel like I conned my wife into getting me a killer coin for Christmas before she bought me some lame clothes or something. Why not? It is a good overall investment with great potential to appreciate. Much more so than a plasma TV, socks, or other popular present. Christmas can be such a cash whirlpool on junk you will never remember in 3 weeks! Bah Humbug! I'll never make a good dealer someday if I want to keep everything. Not only that, as a copper guy, these Buff's are really cool and this coin may have sparked something. Matt

You never know...perhaps it's an older slab. Without pictures there is no way to know. The owner maybe an expert in Franklin's...who knows.

    I got....

8 rolls of 2009 Lincoln cents (one of my personal faves), but even better than that, I got to see my son. He's a Marine, and we didn't get to see him last year at the holidays, but this year we got him for 2 days. GOOD TIMES!!
