As we discussed before, it is a very nice coin & you got a nice grade from PCGS. Please let us know when/if you put it up for sale as it would be nice to see how it does. BTW, If you are attending the FUN show, bring it with you so we can see it. Just don't post your schedule on this open forum for security reasons.
I am lazy and didn't read the entire thread. Did you find this in change or where? Either way, that is an awesome error. Congrats!
I have to say now that I saw the final outcome... Congrats on a very rare find and an outstanding result from PCGS for the grade. Keep us informed on whether you decide to hang onto it or auction it..
Well, I listed it on eBay tonight, for an enormous BIN amount, or Make Offer, just to see what offers I get. It'll be worth the $1.40 it cost me to list it to get a generalization of what it's actually "worth". We'll see what kind of offers I get...
Should have added a few more zero's.. The dryer penny dude is still top dog on BIN price currently in the error section.
Hey redwin117, looks like you got some competition (more reasonably priced too) and no longer got a one of a kind coin: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-11c-PIECE-LINCOLN-PENNY-STRUCK-ROOSEVELT-DIME-EXTREMELY-RARE-PCGS-MS-64-/160700037939?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item256a77fb33#ht_928wt_1126
Good one! Now you can see the big differences between the two. the one above link is a Flip Over not even a key date and not a dual date on the same side of a coin. Ans also there is No Skull break or a crack die Variety or VDB and a Mintmark......Not even close to be a competition on the same year 1995 Double Denomination Unique...Sorry! I am no intention to Hi Jack this Thread...
That's a very good idea Chris had. It certainly is not going to hurt to test the waters a little. GOOD LUCK!
Congratulations to CharlesNC Congratulations to CharlesNC. Your coin is described in a full page pictorial on page five of the CONECA magazine (Errorscope)!
