I called this one for sure- that coin sold for $20 a week ago from the mint and is now topping $50 and going up from there! http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-D-US-A...Individual&hash=item5647dbfc54#ht_2269wt_1163
Wow, that's amazing, and it's a clad piece too! I've never really paid any attention recently, but this is an attractive commem.
it has the lowest mintage of any modern commem half (by about 10K!!!!!!!!!) the next lowest is the 1996 olympic swimmer and that coin is good for $100+, I mean collectors are happy to get them for $100! the Army half is destine to be the modern commem half key and the price could skyrocket.
As a public service to CT members, check out the following links: http://www.paradisemint.com/2011-D-US-Army-Commemorative-Half-Dollar-NGC-MS69-_p_2685.html http://www.paradisemint.com/2011-D-...lf-Dollar-NGC-MS69-Early-Releases_p_1942.html Each is priced at $24.99, but if you add the code "holiday" before 12/31/11 you get 10% off that price, and it also ships free! Total out of pocket cost is $22.50 for the next day and a half. Danr: You convinced me to buy, so just wanted to share. Let's see how long it take to sell these out. :smile TC
I don't think you can base a trend on one auction and say that thats what something is worth. Most new mint issues usually get a boost right after they are no longer available, but will they continue to increase or will they fall back at some point? I'm not saying they won't ever amount to much, nobody can predict that. Only with time will we know.

Ditto. That is a nice deal. Just watched half of them disappear in 10 minutes. Snagged 10 myself. Thanks! -snewman
more expensive but still a deal http://www.silvertowne.com/p-16769-2011-d-us-army-half-dollar-ms69-er-ngc-as-seen-on-tv.aspx
