I search them every week. Anywhere from $50-100 in cents and up to $800 in nickels. And whatever halves I can scour out. Last night I found my 1943-S silver nickel. Also found 7 wheat backs in 20 rolls - not a bad find ratio, but I am mainly after the pre-1982 bronze cents. With nickels I usually meet and exceed the goal of 40+ finds for each $100 box.

You have to love those bankwrapped rolls like this one:

Gees, just tempt my money loving little heart...this find was almost three weeks ago and turned out to be a 1936. Here is a find from last year:

Turned out to be a 1901, the then earliest coin I have found in a roll. This July I found an 1891 though which is my current record holder. Back to nickels...

This came out of a customer wrapped roll from my credit union the same week I found that 1936 Buffer:

I used to doubt the claims of people finding stuff, then I tried it myself and got bitten by a bug more addicting than anything else - it is akin to gambling but a lot cheaper and much more fun.

It's intoxicating isn't it? I loved the "Where's Waldo" theme for your 1901 indian cent.

I shot that photograph excitedly with my cell phone after screaming out loud and making my kids wonder what was up. Yes, I was only a bit excited.
