I just picked up 4 Junk Morgans at lunch from my local coin guy for $27 each. Yes I do buy coins in addition to roll searching. Funny thing is, I'm sure a few in the lot I searched through looked like this. Man! I may have to check them out after the holidays.

Merc - where/who do you sell these too?

First thing ya gotta do is get 'em slabbed. I found a buyer for the '64 over on the PCGS forums, but it'll probably go on ebay with a bin of $225 and I'll just let it sit for a while before converting it to an auction.

Got two boxes of halves and went through 1.5 boxes worth. 1 x 1964 very tarnished. Again the boxes are heavily marked and I'm thinking someone missed this one because it blends in so well with the clad, their loss is my gain. Going to keep it in my pocket, maybe it will bring me luck next week now that I have 6 boxes lined up.

So the order didn't get placed for my halves. Have to wait until next Wednesday. Picked up 1 box each of dimes, nickels and cents. The dimes are dated 12/5 and the cents are dated 12/6 so we are starting to see December boxes which is good.

Who has the time to roll and dump $500 in CWR? That never happens around me. All of the heavily marked stuff is in boxes. The CWR tend to be much better than the BWR.

What's funny is it's not one bank. I ran all over town, few rolls here, few rolls there. a couple different people but most of it is marked AB on the outside of the roll. That guys is dumping everywhere rather then all in one spot. i live in a fairly small town but there are a couple dozen banks around and this guy is dumping them all!! Must be retired. A few of the other rolls, I was told, came from a 10 year old. Can't really say never mind after they hall it out so I take it. I've stopped even opening the rolls marked AB that guy does not seem to miss anything.

Dumb question probably but what nickels are valuable? I had saved up a bunch not thinking that pre-65 nickel were still made with nickel and not silver.

1942-1945 war nickels with a large mint mark above Monticello are the only nickels that have silver in them.

Got through the box of dimes: 2 Mercs, '36 and '42. That's 4 Mercs in my last 2 boxes. I'm working on the cents box now...it's my first one ever and it's taking awhile.

Hockey, go to your local bank (or banks). Ask them if they have any halves. If they do, search through those. Then ask them if they can order a box for you. Boxes are $500. Once you're done searching the box, find a bank that has a free coin counter. Go dump the coins you don't want, then take the money and buy yourself another box. Lather, rinse, repeat.

    Happy Hunting!
