Started Christmas Night I found album fillers. Mostly no dates, so I can put them anywhere. Lol. The 1919-D is covered in crud that I’m not sure I can or should do anything about. The 1926-S gave me and the iPhone fits. Is it possible for the camera to be unable to focus on a coin? It’s also pictured with a couple of no-dates that are more typical in color. Also enjoyed leftover tamales and a cocktail. The vegetables were the wife’s idea.
@IrishLuck The camera is focusing on the background. Use a white or black background and raise the coin slightly above the background surface. A couple of smaller diameter coins or a bottle cap will suffice.
I’m going back to the drawing board (in week three of doing this). I had raised it three centavos and still couldn’t focus. But I was in my office with poor lighting have been evicted from the dining room. So I’m moving my penny operation to a different location in the garage and dedicating this space to examination and photography. Thanks for the input. I’ll try different backgrounds if I don’t have better luck with the buffaloes.
Looks great… ! Sometimes you just have to pull back on phone then come back to focus on a focal point.
The camera and I both need to focus better! I’m going to set up a space and not have coins all over the house. Lol I’ll look at everything eventually, but not in a matter of weeks. Another beginner lesson learned.
Yes I am probably still not organized. Had these a long time… just taking my time. You do the same. It’s addicting. Lol!
Me too. I’m going to stop getting distracted and separate those pennies by decade if it kills me. Lol
