Hi guys during the illustrious production of the 50states. Quarter program they issued coin and plancet set for the state quarters does any one know. Or can get a guestimated list of how many where sold? How many where not? For what years?

I personally have 5 of them they make great paper weights and are like rare from what I was told...is that true? Is it worth collecting more of them??? Thanks chris

I am not familiar with an official US Mint offering for the "coin and planchet set". Could you provide a photograph of the coin set?

The mint would keep some kind of record for something this significant cause its a canceled die / planchett and its one of the things that's primarity responsible. For making coins

    Hello kaosleeroy108,

Now I understand. The mint sold the defaced dies to the public along with an example of the state quarter. Please let us know if you discover how many were sold.
