Interesting day. 2 boxes of halves gave up 1 40%er, a box of dimes gave up 2 roosies. Got a silver dime in my change, too, that's the first time in three or four years now. Picked up about $300 in CWR's, all skunks. Dropped by one of my usual banks, they had someone drop off three rolls of bicentennial quarters, 16 rolls of halves, several rolls of nickels and cents. The teller had already given away most of the nickels and cents, but had everything else. The halves were dry, clearly picked over, but not by her, she gave me her word. The quarters were just plain-jane UNC bicentennials. The cents, which there was one roll of, were all copper, and had three wheaties in it, the newest coin being a '76. The newest nickel i the lone nickel roll was a '63, the rest were earlier, including a '29, '35 and 2x '35-D. Wish I'd picked up the rest of those rolls, darn...

 

Oh, forgot, that bank also had an original roll of '79-P Susan B Anthonys.

 

Triple post me... Box of nickels, 1 dateless buff, 4 wars, including a BU '45-D. Other notable BU's were a '48-S and '49-S, real nice coins.

 

what are coin lock bags? CWR DWR and all these other terms mean?

 

Picked up a couple rolls of common denominations today. Found a 1913s cent in okay condition. Nothing else of significance.

 

I get excited too every time I find about 20 of those in a box.

 

Does any one here search for errors? I do.

 

I try to keep an eye out but haven't found anything so far.

 

1 box CWR dimes: 1961D Roosie and 2000 five pence and Canadian dime 1 box left to go.

 

Chase has no problem, BoA always gives me boxes even without an account ( I don't tell them)

found $620 Ikes last week. found 4 72 TII in the mix in pretty good shape. Also pulled five roosies and one merc out of a few hundred $s of CWR.

 

Hatemy BofA they wont give without account.

 

4 boxes of dimes; 3, 0, 1, and 2. All roosies save for a '28 Merc.

Terrible experience at a bank today.

Went into a bank on one of my travels and the teller said oh I have a lot of halves, she wouldnt sell any of them because I didnt have an account. I venture into this banks branches here in town so I decided to open an account up. I got it all openened up and went up to the same teller again and I ask how many I could buy. She then says I have 4 boxes of halves in the back but that she couldnt sell any of them to me becuase they were for another client. OMG I was so ****ed! I went through all that and she wouldnt sell me any of the halves that she said she had to begin with. UGH!!!

Found a dandy of a 1957 silver dime at work so im happy

Skunk of a Dime Weekend

Glad to see all were scoring well this weekend, here's how mine went.

Cashed my check on Friday and picked up a box of Loomis dimes (99% of the time it's Strings) - SKUNK
Dumped $500 at TD and got some SWAG for my daughter there
Picked up $100 in dimes - SKUNK
dumped those and picked up another box of Dimes (Strings) - SKUNK
Picked up a Box at BoA (Strings) - SKUNK all 2011P
Picked up a mix of BWR & CWR at another BoA - SKUNK

I'm trying to find the positive in that but I'm coming up with nothing. I said I was going to hit it hard for December and I have, but it's not producing. I have searched $25,000 in dimes over 6 months, I wonder if I'm getting my dumps back? It's a grind for sure. I'm thinking switch to halves only for the month and see what happens.
