    So I picked up my 2 boxes from BAC, they weren't great, but weren't skunks either. Box 1 : 1 40%, Box 2 : 3 40%

I finally did my 50th box ($25,000) I started in January, so it took me about 11 months. Here are my results.

    262 Total Silver - 5.24 per box
    202 40% - 77.1% - 4.04 per box
    20 1964 - 7.6% - 0.4 per box
    31 Franklin - 11.8% - 0.62 per box
    9 Walking Liberty - 3.4% - 0.18 per box

So, all in all, pretty good, although the numbers are a little skewed because of the 3 great boxes in a row I had, which accounted for about 40% of the total silver I found.

I have never done coin search before but I decided to give a go and start with half dollar roles. Last Monday gave a phone call to my bank and of course they said that they don't carry half dollars. After some persuasive reasoning, they finally order one box for me and I should come to the branch this Friday ... Yey!

Got my first box of halves today. I didn't want to get my hopes up too high for silver. Maybe I should have to help? I didn't find any silver, but did find some post 2002...should I save these due to lower mint #s?

    1 x 2004-D
    1 x 2005-P
    3 x 2007-P
    1 x 2007-D
1 x 2009-S (It about blinded me when I found it, looks like a mirror! The Kennedy head is kinda frosty too)
    1 x 2010-D

and then one that didn't look like the rest... a 1986-S Statue of Liberty Half Dollar...says "A nation of immigrants".

The 1986 is a commerrative. That's a keeper. As far as the 2002 on up, I've kept a nice P and D from each year, but throw them back now. I found the same Statue of Liberty coin you found, and I love that thing.

Had to leave work a little early yesterday to pick up my daughter from school. Had time to hit a bank before closing time at 4pm to score a box of dimes. Asked for halves and someone picked up $40 yesterday so I just missed on that. The box of dimes had 1 x Roosie in the very last roll. Better than a skunk and topped off my best week in a while (5 x 40% & 3 x Roosie) in three days of searching. The head teller asked me what's up with all the dimes and I used Ace's line about filing out books for my daughter and hopefully they will be worth something one day so I can pay for her college education. They all seemed to eat that right up.

So everyone is saying stick with the halves because they pay off better. My area stinks for halves boxes with a 1.8 avg of 40%ers per box & 0.43 90%ers per box. So by looking at the numbers they do stink but they do pay off better than the dime boxes have been treating me for sure. That's about $12 or $13 worth of silver for every $500 box and when you look at it like that they are better producers.

November has been absolutely horrible for me! I did four boxes of halves last night and all four were skunks! Both halves and dimes have dropped off significantly for me.

$300 in CWR halves - skunk. all presorted. several rolls of pure 1776- 1976

$200 in CWR Dimes - one Roosie. One really strange later date Roosie. looks like a couple of the edges where cut or melted in? it's not a cut because the letters are distorted to the new shape. but it is not really bulged up like you would expect if it was melted either. I will post a pic in an error thread if I can get decent pic.

I spoke to a teller at my dump bank yesterday and she said that someone just turned in $300 in silver dollars!! the teller that collected them went on vacation and apparently they each have their own personal vault, so I have to wait till monday to pick them up. I can't imagine they are actually all silver coins, but man would that be amazing!!!

My local bank claims it's impossible for them to order halfs, anyways. Are they just being stubborn, or might that be true?

Dumped a bunch of clad dimes and hit another bank for halves.
    $4.00 in halves - Skunk
I asked if they had any old looking rolls of coins and she gave me two quarter rolls.
They did look old, but they were both skunks and I dropped a quarter in between the seats.
I'll need to clean the car well before selling it, there's got to be a couple bucks worth of lost coins in there by now.

All the tellers I know call Ikes silver dollars. You're gonna end up with a pile of Ikes. That's not a bad thing, though...

I'm pretty sure there's around $10 in mine, not including all the copper cents under the mat of my trunk I can hear rattling around every time I take a sharp, fast turn.

Man guys, I bought $200 in quarters, and only found 2 pre 1964 out of 800. I want to go back to my bank and try again. Any suggestions!? Should I change tactics?

Those are incredible number. I'm finiding 1 pre 1964 quarter in every $2000 searched or 8000 quarters (which is pretty typical). Go back to that bank and get all the quarter rolls they have right away! That is some rich quarter pay dirt.

Really? Awesome that is my first serious buy. They have a change machine there, so I'm gonna dump the rest back. They are both 1964-D, thats silver right?
