Free State Congo.
Own possession of Belgian king Leopold II. FSC wasn't the Belgian colony, but was the feudal property of Leopold II. He was very angry and brutal ruler: during his reign about 15000000 people in Congo was murdered (1/2 of Congo's population). Leopold II was the worst king of Europe at XIX - XXth century.
Before his own death he married on French prostitute. :dead-horse:

I received an e-mail that you veiwed my coins. I cannot find any way of seeing what the message is.
I am at a complete loss on how this site works. Like, what is a blog or I post something and it comes up three or four times. Any help will be appricated. I have many items from the Revolutionary War & also the Civil War that I would like to share with you and the other members.
You seem like you enjoy looking at the many great coins display. As I also an into checking out the many coins and items. I'm a relic hunter and believe me, I've located miitary sites and recovered great items. I sure like to share them. Any help will be appreciated.

10 & 20 franken 1954. This coins were minted for an appeal in Saar (French occupation zone in Western Germany). These coins were in circulation less than one year.

just bought this beauty, keeling cocos islands 1 rupee.........................

 

This is shown pretty close to actual size, it is a Katanga cross from Congo in Africa and is late 19th century money - not a coin but money made of metal:



Shown with very well worn coin I got in change at a store in the USA the day this came in mail. I thought would be a good comparison to show the size of this Katanga cross vs. a coin.

 

Again not really a "coin" but these started life as amulets and evolved into becoming money in the Greek colonies of Olbia in Northern Black Sea area in what is today territory of Ukraine:



These pieces are believed to have been made ca. 600BC-500BC.

 

Skythian spearpoints also served as an early form of money in Northern Black Sea area of now territory of Ukraine:



These were perhaps made about the same time as the dolphin amulets.

 

Also from what is now territory of Ukraine comes this coin of King Sauromates I of the Bosporan kingdom, from approximately 90AD-123AD:



At first this looks like any other coin, but the legend reads in a counterclockwise direction - very unusual for a coin, usually legends read in clockwise direction.

This looks like ordinary conder token era piece - but is special because it was also largest bronze token, and largest monetary piece to ever really circulate in Great Britain ever. This piece is more than twice the size and weight of the Crown coins of the time. In fact it weighs 2.5 oz. Incredible as this exists, there were a few patterns made of a sixpence coin that had it been issued would have weighed 5 oz and been like a hockey puck sized piece. I have a few of these that I keep as paperweight and play money.
