    Hello all,

Would anyone know any contact information, or how I should go about purchasing a coin press? I understand that once a coin press is retired from a mint that it can be purchased. I know a number of great artists, and have some very good ideas. I would like a gold commemorative coin of the G20 summit, with all world leaders. I also would like to make silver commemorative coin of nude women. I would also be interested in making the Barber Half/Quarter, and Capped Bust Half/Quarter with different dates. For all collectors to enjoy. Please PM me, or give feedback.

I have the feeling that these would be big-ticket items, very expensive. I think there are some private mints out there who will strike coins or medals for you for a price, this might be an avenue to explore. Also, they have to get their equipment somewhere. Good luck. Anyone who likes nude women can't be all bad :)

Might be easier to buy a ram and build your own. I bet a good log splitter could be converted.

I don't know, seems like an outrageous hobby to me, if you got the bucks. I repeat, a guy that likes nude women can't be all bad.

Buying one (or the parts for one) is one thing, but setting it up and knowing how to operate it is another. I'm afraid things like these won't be coming with owner's manuals...

I'd like a coin press too, but I'd use it on soap. Well okay, I'd really rather have a soap press from late 1800's.

    :)

Contact Daniel Carr. I believe he lives in Ft. Collins, CO. He purchsed his coin press from the Denver Mint several years ago. He is the guy that sells the 1964-D Peace Dollars, 1975 Ike Dollars, and other fantasy overstruck coins.
