Sorry had soccer all weekend and basketball tonight so just got home. About to crash but will give a quick rundown of 48 hours. Out of town trip to East Texas. Luckily, did not get any boxes from local banks so had my coin roll with me.

    1st bank: 1 Franklin, 2 1964, and 24 40%
    2nd bank: no halves
    3rd bank: 1 Walker, 1 Franklin, 5 40%
4th bank: 2 boxes someone ordered last year and never picked up. I got one box. First roll had 6 silver halves...
    Final box total: 5 Franklins, 9 1964's, 81 40% and 1 2002 proof.
5th bank ran to this bank to dump and go back to bank 4 for other box.. no halves
    4th bank: 2nd box: 2 Walkers, 5 Franklins, 38 1964's, 37 40%, 1 1976 S 40%, 1 1992S
    6th bank: no silver
    7th bank: 1 Franklin, 3 1964's, 9 40%
    8th bank: no silver
    9th bank: 1 Walker, 2 Franklins, 3 1964's, 14 40%.
2:00 so the banks closed Saturday so there were more banks in area I could not get to. I go back in February for another soccer tournament.

My kids and I had a BLAST going through those two boxes as they are the 1st and 3rd best ever in my 2+ years. I am just glad whoever ordered them a year ago never came and got them. 2nd time I have stumbled across an area with lots of banks that had Franklins...

You're telling me, that is an amazing run. You should go out of town more often.

    Lunch break
Stopped by my halves order bank and asked for them to order me $1000...no problem, sweet
He then told me he had $26 in large dollar coins, so I took those off his hands. He did mention there was nothing good in them.
Now he goes on to tell me he picked up a 52' Frankie the other week, I told him good for him. He also told me he finds silver quarters now and again. So I have some competition on my hands but I guess it's fine because I usually only pick up sealed boxes of halves from him.
I did purchase $300 in dimes as well. $100 of that were my dumps from about 6 months ago so I unloaded those quickly up the street. They obvisously don't turn over alot of coin there. The other $200 was skunk on silver with a few modern Canadian and some other garbage foreign coins.
Slow month for me $800 searched for 1 silver dime from last week.
Hopefully my luck turns around with these half dollar boxes come Thursday

grabbed $100 in dimes on a lunch run and found 1 rosie.

been doing this about 3 weeks and so far have 4 40% halves and 3 rosie's. been trying for two weeks to order a box from my credit union and they just kept coming up with mistakes and delays. pretty clear they don't want to do it. opened an account with a bigger bank and have a standing weekly order for 2 boxes of halves every friday!! There are other searchers in my town and most of what I am finding running banks has been picked through.

If I ever have a day like Aggiecollector I'll start running through the streets throwing confetti!!

Cash in that silver....is what I would be doing.

I don't see any point holding it since the profit could roughly be 1000%.

I can't speak for Aggie but I would not be cashing in! I think most here are either collectors or silver bugs and want to see their stack get as big as possible! I started stacking bullion then found that searching for junk silver is both a cheap and fun way to add even more. now I'm starting to want to learn about numi too!

that's my (newbie) 2 cents, for what it's worth!

Haha, my kids play tournaments and some of my biggest finds are on those road trips. It helps pay for the eating out and gas money.

    Box of nickels; solid 2011.

Out of 13 dollar coins from the bank today, one of them was a 2005 Loonie from Canada.

Well, I used a little of both of your thoughts. I sold the 40% today and plan on keeping the 90%. I am almost tempted to drive a couple of hours back out there to search more banks instead of waiting until February.
