1891 indian head out of a roll!!!!

I was just crh a brinks box of cents and noticed an unusal sounds as other cents dropped in and saw a very dirty cent sticking out of the stack. I thought it was a canadien cent but when I picked it up I noticed it had a indian head on it... and saw the date. 1891!!! Soooooo happy right now!!!

I've found a few in my time... maybe one every ten boxes or so.

It is a great find, think of how unusual it is to find a 120 year old coin in circulation. Back in July I picked out three Indians from circulation - cent bag searches, my bank bags up cents from commercial deposits and I buy them and cash them out somewhere else. I also found an 1891, my oldest coin from searching, and also a 1904 and 1907. Since this summer I only buy a $20-25 bag of cents a week and the finds have gone down significantly, usually 1940's on up wheats and a few S mints. I just don't have the time to search cents like I was doing prior.

nice ive only found 1 indan coin roll huntin and it was a early 1900s one but in the same box got a 1909,1910,10 20's 4 30's and like 10 40's the lady said some old guy came in a was what he said "cleaning out his piggy bank" looking back i should looked for silver that day too
