I would use this candidate for the craziest/wackiest themed silver world bullion coin, the 2009 $5 Cook Islands silver coin with a supposed moon lunar meteorite embedded in the coin, it was issued for the anniversary of the moon landing.

"In memory of this double anniversary the new silver coin shows both sides of the moon in incredible detail. Besides, on the reverse of this coin a real moonstone is inlaid; a piece of the Lunar meteorite NWA 4881. A Lunar meteorite is a meteorite that is known to have originated on the Moon. Lunar origin is established by comparing the mineralogy, the chemical composition, and the isotopic composition between meteorites and samples from the Moon collected by the Apollo missions."

You may have a point here. Crazy. I'd have a hard time with the claims of this coin.

Too bad they are tooo expensive.

 

When the Moon coin was new, I recall sites like govmint.com were selling it for $60. I'm not sure what it resells for now but the one I linked to at $300ish seems a bit wildly over-valued. IMO

I don't like how it has that meteorite stuck in it, but that was a brilliant idea for a coin design.
