Great pastel color on that......... Thanks REV I like this one too. I don't look for world coins but this one here was a no brainer....
Holy buckets Winged, that's a beautiful Matte Proof. When did PCGS start imaging coins with a black background? It's a much better look than the white background!! AWESOME pick-up! :hail:
Here's a fairly "common" coin I bought from a local shop over lunch today, but it fills a spot. I'm just starting to upgrade the IHC collection I mainly complied in my teens. I'm going to start at Fine minimum, though the keys may/will require compromise. (I need to hone my coin photography skills)
My latest ancient. Nice to find this particular emperor this nice in my price range. Nerva (96 - 98 A.D.) AR Denarius O:IMP NERVA CAES AVG P M TR POT II Laureate head right. R: COS III PATER PATRIAE Priestly implements: simpulum, aspergillum, jug and lituus. RIC 225, 34. Cohen 51. 18mm 3.1g
Brace yourselves for a lot of pictures. I understand the five coin American Eagle set has hit the mailboxes.
Just agreed to purchase this CAC'ed Merc in a rattler. Poorly struck, but I don't know if I feel like shelling out a 30% premium for a well-struck example, let alone waiting for a well-struck example to show up in an OGH... if one does, I'll probably try to buy it.
Merc Crazy, I am greatly envious of your purchases as usual. Wonderful dime you bought, despite what holder it may be in.
