Found this 1928 no S Peace Dollar at the local "We buy Gold and Silver" place mixed in with the rest of the silver coins. I couldn't believe it when I flipped her over and didn't see the S. I know this is a rare coin and therefore there are many fakes and copies out there. What would you fellow coin collectors grades/opinions be on this one? Real or Not? I think I just found a 1928 Philly Peace Dollar and only paid 25 bucks for it. :D

Looks genuine to me. Is there something that raises your suspicions? Aside from a very lucky find? You might weigh it and give it the magnet test.

Congrats on a great find! Enjoy it.

Only thing that raises my suspicions is that it's too good to be true! To find the key date of the series in circulation is not impossible,,,just very unlikely. It's just hard to believe.

I guess I just want more experienced collectors to verify what I thought all along.

are the mottos on the reverse typically this weak ?

I think you can attribute that to bad lighting.
