Large Cent Tip 10/29

    This is a quick sale item so you have to look fast. It is correctly called 1796, even though the date is obscured by corrosion. The Reverse is easily identifiable as Sheldon Reverse C/Breen Reverse D by the outer leaf of the tri[let below the upright of the E(D). Since the only use of this Reverse Die is on S-85, the attribution is solid for this variety. It is called R5- at the time of the Holmes sale and R5 by Breen's Early Cents.

    Price looks good but I think I already have a better one. I'll have to take a look at mine.

    I just recently sold mine which was Fr2 but problem free. Problem free coins, even in very low grade do command a premium over typical coins for the grade.
