Yeah it's exciting as **** and I'm not even a Cards fan but I'm in a pool and I can win a few dollars!!!!!!

 

The last time I bet on a series was in 1987. St. Louis lost because the 1st base umpire wasn't wearing his glasses

Yes, you're right, it was '85. I was thinking about where I was working when I made that bet, and I was working there in both '85 and '87.
Anyway, speaking of 10 bucks, that's how much I lost in '85

 

I'm not exactly declaring a winner right now, cuz im still celebrating. But this looks like the winner to me. Only 2 or 3 people predicted the Cards in 7. And this prediction nailed the Rangers score, and was off the Cards score by one. I think its clearly the winner. But like I said, I'm still celebrating So Let me know

 

If I ever make another sports bet, I'm gonna consult with Wiggam007 first! That was an amazing prediction

 

Here's a bit of Cardinal trivia for you:

'82 was the "Beer Town Series"
'85 was the "All-Missouri (or I-70) Series"
'87 was the "Mississippi River Series"

 

I wish I could have heard Jack Buck and Mike Shannon announcing that final game. That would have been something

 

I don't watch a lot of baseball, usually just the World Series, in part because the only team nearby is the Rockies, and I don't really like them. I only even got to watch one game this year because of work, but it was game 6 and wow, what an ending!

And if you want my advice for sports picks, it is don't listen to me This is evidenced from my own March Madness bracket contests where I have done pretty badly each year, and I actually watch a ton of college basketball!
