If I were very lucky it might grade G-4 Damaged, due to it being in the ground for so long. Unless I end up living in a cardboard box I will probably just hang on to it . .

All I had done before taking Thad's advice was run it under water to get the easy crud off. Had not planned on taking sandpaper to it any time soon.
the only coin i ever found whilst metal detecting was a william III halfpenny in quite poor condition, still i kept it for posterity............
