1934s Peace Dollar.. Still working on better photos as the flip this is in is rather old and that is a piece of cardboard dust next to the 4. My photos are lousy lighting and off focus... Thoughts are welcome.. I did post this in a different thread for ideas on grade..
Just got this in the mail today and took a quick snap with my iPhone in indirect evening sunlight. This is one of three coins I bought on the Heritage-Pittsburgh Auction last weekend.
Looks l ike a really stunning coin, I bet it pops with abit more light. What did you give for it ? I was watching the auction, but everything I was targeting got bit way beyond what I was comfortable handing out... it's been that way for the past 4-5 Hcoin auctions ; (
I think I have sent them toned with green and blue, then also some iridescent toned ones with pinks and greens.
That's a good question. The camera does an ok job, but has trouble focusing up close ... so I have to keep the camera about 6 to 8" away from the subject ... which makes the coin small. I think the photos are about 1536 x 2048 pixels in size (at 72 dots per inch) ... but I could never fill that entire space up with a coin since i stay so far away. The coin images end up being between 400 and 600 pixels in width (a good size for the CT board!) By the way, I think I have an iPhone 3, but I am not 100% sure. It might be an iPhone 2???? I bought it in June 2009. I will buy a real camera one day!
I bought this raw Lincoln Cent last weekend off ebay. If I like it in hand, I will send it off to PCGS to see if it will grade. The seller said it was MS64, but I can never guess what PCGS will say. I really liked the color from the sellers image.
