look for 2009's, 1982 no mint mark, errors, & BU older dates. Good luck!

Oh yeah, today 2 boxes of halves both marked with same number- first box 4 x 40% and 10 NIFC, second box? Wait for it...wait for it...

    Skunk :(

Oh well, at least those skunk boxes go pretty quick, when you're cold you know it and can fly thru the crud in a hurry. Took maybe 1 hr 10 mins first box, 30 mins second box.

    Low mintage on those '09s.

I get through a box of halves in about 20 minutes, max.

    Just out of curiosity,

What is the secret to getting through dimes so fast? Is it the types of rolls that you get? I've been getting the rolls that are rolled at both ends. Are you guys pealing back one end, pushing the dimes through, rim-checking them, and then sticking them back in the roll, re-crimping the loose end, and then dropping them at another bank?

    I'm such a rookie. ;)

5 rolls that were rubber band together had the dates wrote on 3 of the 5, the two that had no writing had the silver. They all had the same wrappers as well.

I open from both ends and unroll it so I can see the edge of the coins, ill give it a twice over then re wrap em in a new wrapper.

OK, I have to 'fess up. In 1973 my Dad and I started searching rolls of Kennedy's. We picked a lot of silver out of them out, about 45% to 85% per roll. My Dad being a wise man told me to hold onto them, they will be worth something someday. He sold me his take for face, and I provided the funds to keep looking. In April, 2010, I lost my job, but thanks to Dad's advice and the bump in silver, I still have my house and nobody is hungry. Sitting on that pile of silver was great advice. Thank You Dad!!!

box of cents - 7 wheats (one '21 that is barely legible, nice 1939, and beautiful 53), one canadian cent (1965), and one 1996 Jamaican Dollar. Don't know how that one got wrapped up, but it sure did. Bank wrapped rolls....

About 14% annualized return, not too bad. Of course, as late as January 2010, that wasn't looking like such a hot deal...

Go back to '05-'06, and it's looking outright silly.

Box of dimes = skunk. Started out strong on dimes and now have been skunked on the last three boxes. Will keep doing a box or so a week.

First box of halves = skunk

Second box of halves = Three 40%'rs and three 90%'rs. By far my best box of halves since starting.

Also, considering silver hit $50 as early as 1980, its hard to imagine someone wouldn't have sold some then.

Went to go cash my check and get my weekly box of dimes from this bank. They were short staffed and could not go into the vault to get the coins so, the teller told me she would get them for me later and I'll swing by tomorrow and they will have them waiting for me. Rather than let it ruin my break, I rolled and cashed $85 in dimes and asked for some halves. No halves so I left with my $85 in cash and will have to wait until tomorrow.

I don't know about a premium but, from what I read they are issued mint set only special strike quarters. so this one must have gotten out into the wild from a mint set... tell you what though, it really looks nice and easily spotted in change..

Was just at my grandfathers house earlier today... he let me look at his coin collection that he got from his aunt. Let me tell you, he had some amazing stuff! 2 1922 Peace dollars, 1 1921 Morgan Dollar, 3 walking Liberty's from the 1930's, 2 Eisenhower dollars, and 1/2 a dozen Mercury Dimes. I was so excited! and he said that i could have them eventually. JACKPOT!!!!

Two more boxes of halves, two more skunks. Very frustrated right now.

Should be able to pick up 4 boxes or so tomorrow morning. Hoping they give up something good.
