Good question (why graded?) 86/87/95 - remarkable toning in my eye.. my pics do not come close to capturing. I have a very hard time capturing toning on cents... Have purchased one or two toner cents from Kryptonic (Shane) and then tried to imagee upon receipt.... I hate him <pic envy>. I can post a recent sample if you need a good laugh. In any case, these three are very purdy'. The 2006 was a self induced experiment... Back in 05 through the beginning of 07 I use to get fresh boxes of cents from the bank, then go through them one by one and pick out the best 5-10... this was the best one of the boxes I went through in 06,,, so the $17 experiment was to see how good my eye was for detecting better grade modern cents.
Nothing wrong with a test. I think you got a nice batch being sent in - the only questionable one I saw was the 1912. The color looks off in the picture to me, not saying it is. Maybe later tonight I can sit down and toss in some grade guesses.

Dang, I wish you'd break these up because I'm too lazy to do the group all at once. LOL I really like the memorial cents! The 2006 is TOUGH to find with full steps....yours are almost there.
Every one of those got an, "Oh Golly!" Very well done! :thumb: I can't believe you found them in the parking lot, I'm never that lucky!
Thier back !! Someone from NGC must be reading this board and know that I generally play the +1 game when playing the guess the grade, because many of these definitely did not come back +1 to my book. But I'm still o.k. with the grades as they are approximate to what I expected... and the majority were right in line with what I expected. BTW, as usual, RLM won. I graded by taking the total number over or under and adding them up. So you get a net score equal to the sum grades (positive or negative) you missed the actual grade by. There were 17 coins total. Shoe - +25 (1 right on) Mark_H - +17 (counting a +1 I threw on to your score for not grading one). (4 right on) RLM - +16 (5 right on) I'll start with the most significant offending coins and work down to the ones that mose came close to or got right. 29D (ms62 BN) - was looking for around a 63. There are some is a lot of light noise on this coin that does not show well in the pic.. also hard to see in hand, but visible under 5x. 47D (ms64 RB) - I figured 65, at least. Nice clean coin. 29S (ms64 BN) - If that's not a 65, then I don't know what is. I was hoping for a 66. Almost perfectly clean and notable lack of hits anywhere,, good strike. 2006 (ms65 RD) - was looking for 67, or at least 66... I went though 5000 cents and this was the best in the box (I thought !!)... very nice coin anyway.
1995 (ms66 RB) - I'm ok with 66 as the toning is what I like on this baby.. pic doesn't show it well. I think it could have gone 67 easily as well... very clean sharp coin in addition to the toning. 17 (ms64 RB) - about what I though, I was looking for around 63. One of the few that I under estimated in this batch. 20D (ms63 BN) - about right in my book. 30D (ms64 RB) - I thought 64, but hoped for 65 on this one. The RB was a close call too.
86D (ms65 RB) - about what I thought.. another toner that is much more impressive than pic. 33 (ms65 RD) - what I thought 45D (ms65 RB) - about right, was thinking it could go 66 too. 09vdb (ms64 RB) - what I thought
87D (ms65RB) - about what I thought. The pic better captures the toning.. it's almost identical toning to the 86D. 10 (ms64 BN) - the only other one I under estimated.. was thinking 63. 12 (ms63 BN) - what I thought. 09 (ms64 RB) - about what I thought. 16D came back AU58.. not the prettiest coin... will be trading that one in. Another batch coming back in the near future.... will throw in a handful of world coins also just to keep everyone unstable and confused.
Whenever I buy a coin from Shane, I always let him know that I am borrowing his photos (permanently!). Chris
baha...next time break them up one at a time, it's more fun to guess the grades slowly IMO. Overall, a nice batch of coins!
