I have a bunch....I've been a collector of the Buffalo Nickel series for most of my life. I like high grade toners and enjoy the hobby. Thank you for all the kind words. Recently I've been working on my photo skills and imgaing my buffs, again. I enjoy imaging and brush up from time to time...
I use a Nikon D-3100 camera with a Sigma 150MM lens. I use a copy stand and when shooting this coin I use two light 9:00 & 3:00 as close to the lens as possible. My aperture is set at 7.1 and my shutter speed is set on 1/50 for lights and what my light meter tells me. I always shoot on the manual mode. I hope in some way this helps....Coin Dexter
well, you are really good with a camera coin dexter! my mom has a canon rebel e-os, she is giving me her old, 8.2 mega pixel next week, so i'm going to have TONS, of pictures of my coins.
I know that feeling! My mom is letting me use her camera, I have so many pictures now, it is really fun to take them, but does require skill, which I still need
Thanks for sharing all those beautiful buffalo nickels. You have some stunning buffalo's. Thanks for the camera info as well...... Are most of these coins auction wins or do you have a nice resource for acquiring these.. Certainly gives one a nice close up perspective for high grade coins.
my mom does professional photography now, her 8.2 is from a long time ago. she has a 1200 dollar camera that she uses for photography, it takes beautiful pictures of coins, i have a few of the pictures, but they are way to big to put on the forum.
