I wasn't sure what the name was when I read the first post. I'm not that bright!

Agreed... and why would eBay apologize anyway? The OP reported auctions, eBay responded they were OK, case closed. As stated above, the OP is way too sensitive.

My original intent was to find out if anyone else ever got called a vulgarity for attempting to help out eBay and weed out listing violations.

How am I too sensitive? Because I do not wish to be referred to in an unprofessional manner by a companies employees that I do business with? Your a joke.

Listen.... if you think for one minute eBay did this on purpose, you are wrong. You need to relax and take your medication.

I absolutely believe it was deliberate and extremely unprofessional,,, of all the names you do not mix up and call someone in a business setting, that is the one, it was intentional and I am insulted, that is my right and opinion. Now if you wanted to call me a D*** I wouldn't care the least or get insulted, cause I do not expect any professionalism out of you... ROTFL

Being insulted is not a useful state of being. Pouting is about the only solution. Good luck with that. I would strongly suggest moving on and getting over it.

Listen... the OP has a lot of pent up anger, for whatever reason. He has reported auctions that he has no business reporting (through his own misguided interpretation of eBay's rules referencing TPG's), he has misinterpreted eBay's response (considering it a personal insult), he has repeatedly defended his position despite our assurances that there was no hidden agenda by eBay to attack him with subtle vulgarities.

    To quote the Captain:

"What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we have here, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men."

    All in the definition!!

After this referenced post, I believe that the majority reading this thread would probably agree that you're too sensitive, as a definition for "typo" is "typing mistake".

I find some humor in this thread, as I've traveled far and wide on business, and when I've been introduced as "Richard", people more often then not would ask what I'd like to be called. Dependent upon the questioner/circumstances, I'd occasionally respond that friends and respectful associates call me Richard, and only my wife should call me DICK.

I've been occasionally called DICK by other than my wife, where I can laugh at a name sometimes earned, but hopefully just addressed in error. I hope that you may also find some humor in that believed to be an error, or "typo".

You're reading way too much into this.

    Example:
I call my son "boy" as a generic name/term.
    I worked in an office.
My son called me at work, the call ended with 'see ya later boy'.
The phone rang as I set it down, so I answered.
A man of color was on the other end, he asked a question, still thinking about the conversation with my son, I accidently addressed the man as "boy".
    Not good, but totally unintentional.

And this is why I named my son Christopher and not Richard. I wanted to avoid at all costs the arguement of who was "Big Dick" and Who Was "Little Dick". This turned out to be a good decision since at the age of 13 he is now 6' 1" and officially taller than me.

Richard "don't call me Dick" Ziegler

    I'm sure I can't answer, as I don't know Dick.

Not a thing. The OP posted an imaginary insult from eBay and was trying to solicit support for his personal vendetta against them. However, the bottom line is that you may state you are a member of PCGS in an auction for a raw coin, as long as you don't mention PCGS (or other recognized TPG) in the description of the coin.

Honest mistake by an overworked and probably underpaid customer service representative. Would you feel better if he was fired and had to sell his children into prostitution?

Good effort with the reporting on rogue sellers, although this one is marginal it's still good to know there are people watching out for dubious listings.

Sorry, but I actually find this entire thread kinda funny.

Someone files a bogus report on a series of auctions and then whines because he thinks the eBay response was a profanity. Does the OP suppose that the supervisor's at eBay Trust & Safety don't monitor the replies made by the minion's or is the OP just that sensitive?

    This one's ok IMO:

    "Israeli coins
(Copper, aluminum and nickel), various modern as well as more than for last 40 years (shekel agora lira) , circulated , no PCGS PGC LBC rarity valued , each coin is capsuled.
a lot of interesting facts and information about Israeli Holy land coins and symbolics added printed ."

    This one's informative:

    "M&J Coins Antiques and Collectibles
10471 Asheville Hwy Inman, SC 29349
    Telephone 864-472-3041
We are an authorized PCGS dealer!"

    This one's ok IMO:

"These prices do not include sets or PCGS coins. "

This one again is simply notifying the potential bidder of who they are dealing with:

Personally, I see absolutely no infractions of the eBay rules.
