1943 with missing 4 - Common? weak strike?

    OK, While sorting a pile of steel pennies I came across an odd looking 1943 with missing 4. - Question: Are these a common thing? Just a weak strike maybe? I don't think it PMD but I'll leave it up to the pro's. It is there but just barely visible.. I'll scan it and post below. Thank you very much for taking a look!

    BTW, I don't collect errors but from time-to-time I run across something unusual so I thought it would make good educational conversation.

    Hello I_Love_Silver,
    That appears to be a grease filled die. It is not that uncommon on many different types of coins. I do not believe it is considered an error. Unless the filled area is extreme, they do not bring a premium.

    Here is one on my 2 cent. The 'F' is missing in "of" and the "A" in "America".

    Yeah I knew it wasn't worth any kind of premium and figured it was along those lines. Thank you. I should take a picture from an angle so you can see what I mean by missing. the 1, 9 & 3 are raised as they should be and the 4 is not. It's like a shadow. I think it's sort of neat. :)
