1887 S$1 PCGS MS 65 - Nice end roll toning! From the Bob Campbell collection. He spent 25 years putting together the best end roll Morgan toned coin collection he could find. :smile :smile:smile :smile
Speaking of 1936 proof cents--- When I was 7, my grandmother took me to see one of her friends who was a coin collector. He talked about mainly Lincoln cents, and after giving me a few from the '30s (I thought they were so cool because I could never find them in circulation, even though they were only 30 some-odd years old), he showed me some "special cents" that he had in a drawer of his china cabinet. There were about 4 or 5 1936 proof cents. "They are all worthless," he sighed, "because they all have spots on them."
Thanks To tell you the truth, I would guess that the grade is probably MS details, since it looked to have been cleaned when I bought it. But I don't care because it has somehow developed those fantastic colors in the 22 years that I have had it.
Here's a rainbow toned, PL cent I found while roll searching. The pictures do it no justice, it's brighter and more colorful in hand. When I poured out the roll this coin was glowing like the sun!
Found this puppy on the sidewalk the other day! Bad pic because I had to tilt the coin to get the toning in the picture. Should have taken out of flip
