I realize that nobody knows what the "shorthand" stands for, so I will see if somebody can figure it out after checking this auction out. LOL I can't do or say anything about this auction, just "shake mah head" in disgust. http://www.ebay.com/itm/One-Kind-Christ-Cross-1886-O-Morgan-Silver-Dollar-Mint-Error-Fr-Sh-/370540214044?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item5645eaf71c
When I see those auctions, I just laugh, as if anyone really takes him up on it, they deserve to be losing their money!
That item has had 46 "Best Offers", all declined by the seller. IMO, the best offers the seller received were probably more in line with what the item is worth, and he's just fishing for a sucker.
I know right!! The coin has been "inspected" by all tpg's and all refused to put their slab on this coin. Who the heck sends their coin to a lab unless they are determining metal composition?
I still contend that the only way to stop this sort of nonsense is to continue the Insertion Fee scale. Last I saw it topped out at a fee of $2 for listings starting at $200 or more. If eBay continued the scale at 1% (or even 0.1%) of the starting bid this sort of thing would end.
