Can someone please ID this coin for me?

    I am not familiar with world coins at all, however this coin intrigues me. I tried to decipher what I can read and search but no luck. I would very much appreciate someone ID'ing this coin for me.

    It would help if you could post pictures of both sides of the coin.

    Both sides would help as stated above, but the head looks like that of Louis Philippe I°, king of the frenchs 1830-1848.
    From what I can see on your picture it's more a medal than a coin though

    And the position of the hole makes me think it has been used as a pendant, with the other side displayed, so may I join the chorus of calls for a picture?
