Yep, been very slow lately down here in TX. Of course, I haven't heard from Erin lately, so I don't know if he is having luck in my area...

And, I agree with HOTN, Moon, that is sick luck you are having with dimes! Congrats to ya.

    Yesterday's second box got me 1 Roosie & 3 Mercs, including a 1917 in FR2 :)

On a happy note, today is my second anniversary on Cointalk! :welcome:

    From last year:

So this year was not as good (as would be expected), but still nice. From 9/22/2010:

    Nickels:
5 Buffalo nickels, two dated three not.
    2 V nickel.
? War Nickels (didn't keep track, but about 5)

    Dimes:

41 Mercs, 421 Roosies (about. This mix is somewhat off).

    70! Silver Quarters (all washington)

    Halves:

    455 40%
    104 90% Kennedies.
    14 Frankies
    9 Walkers
    0 Barbers
    1 SOL Proof half
    6 Proofs

    1 1901O Morgan

    1 1966 Canadian Quarter

Not bad, but an expected dropoff from last year. You don't get finds like that every year.

Well, tried my first half roll search in a long time and out of $20 in halves got 2 -66s. Not too bad.

I was hoping to also get back to filling out my Kennedy whitmans again after raiding the clad in the 1990s for face and the roll I got today with the 66s was all 71-Ds for the remaining 18 coins, which was not very helpful. The other roll had a better mix so that was better.

    Moonshine ....................

I'll take that ratio any day of the week!

    1 box of dimes=2 Rosies

    Inq,
You just better leave work and pick up as many dime boxes as you can. Strike while the iron, I mean silver is hot. 3 Mercs!!!! Also very impressive yearly totals.

I'd take those finds Inq. Good Job and Congrats on a second full year. I'm sure I'll be very shy of that by my 1 year mark next May, but if the prices keep going up it'll all work out in the long run. You still holding all of your finds? If so, you are doing awesome!

    Thank you.

I sell my finds to fund my collection. For example, my Peace dollar collection:

    http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/registry/coins/SetListing.aspx?PeopleSetID=108638

I want to get it completed, minimum AU condition (including the 34S), and start upgrading.

Got another $30 in nickels and found my first buffalo nickel! No date but still a first. Yesterday I did nickels for the first time and found my first war nickel too and plenty of 40's 50's and 60's

Check out my roadtrip for tomorrow.

Right after Ellicott City is where the banking starts. Should be in the area around 10am. Several PNC's to dump at along the way, if they have coin counting machines, that is.
