Just came in the mail today. Picked up a silver $5 Liberty Dollar piece I may not agree with the tea baggers politics, but the coins sure are purty.... http://flic.kr/p/ajUmtN http://flic.kr/p/ajRA92
The Norfed Liberty dollars were around long before the Tea Party. The two have no association with each other.
Here's what I picked up from the Long Beach Coin Expo today.... 1937 Merc - MS65FB 1939-D Merc - MS66FB 1940 Merc - MS65FB
Haha, hey Pez, what gives? Less market cornering please. Nice coins man, looking forward to the Philly Whitman next Friday, gonna try to pick me up something nice. Here's my newest acquisitions from my friendly local dump bank today. Did my usual cash-in of halves, asked if they had any "of the old big dollar coins" and she said five. Bought 'em at face, $1 each. Sweet, I love me some Ikes, I've got a few more for the pile. She handed me the following; 1972 T2 Ike; MS62 due to spotting. Going to work on 'em, see if I can get 'em off... think it's probably a 64 without 'em. $100. 1889 Morgan; XF $33. 1921 Morgan; AU53. $33. 1921 Morgan; AU58. $33. And a plain-jane '78 Ike. Best $5 I've ever spent in my life.
At least I'm on the other side of the country so I'm not at the same show as you There wasn't an overabundance of mercs at the LB show. I was actually surprised. There definitely wasn't a bunch of FB's out and hardly any from the 20's. Quite a few OVERPRICED 16-D's though. I'm not about to pay $700-$800 for a F02. Anyway...I'm already jealous of what you pick up next week

The large cent is too hard to grade with those pictures, but I would guess to start with XF, but from the looks of the color and possible corrosion I would net it down and say VF-details. Really just a swag. Here are my two newest(don't have them yet):
I just got this photo back from PCGS using their TrueView service. This first year issue was graded MS-65 FB.
Just purchased these two tonight. Can't wait to get them in hand. They will be a part of my US Type Set.
