I just added this new piece to my Flanders Count Louis de Male 1346-84 gold series collection

    NGC MS-63

    My others from the series:

    Chaise d'or w/lion shield
    NGC AU-55

    Franc a' Cheval (Cavalier d'or)
    NGC AU-58
    [IMG][IMG]

    Lion d'or

I still have these three to go: Chaise d'or w/eagle shield, Mouton d'or, Heaume d'or

Very nice, Silvereagle. Those are beautiful coins from a very historic part of Europe.

Very cool coin. I've always wanted a gold coin from the era of the bubonic plague, roughly 1350 or there about. And in MS63 no less, can't imagine they get much nicer.

What kind of premium over spot do those coins run? Are they generally very expensive or close to spot? I know very little about world gold coins.

They are typically multiples of spot, sometimes many multiples of spot.
