I picked this coin up this past weekend. I really liked it and especially the bit of pretty purple on the reverse.

    Enjoy!

There are many factors that make coins tone, alot has to do with weather and chemicals that react with silver. Many times sitting in an older coin folder will make them tone, mainly because there is things like sulfur in the paper.

You can Artificially Tone a coin as well, people may heat the coin(s) up, or apply chemicals to the coin. AT coins are not very popular with Coin collectors and maybe looked at as harshly as a claened coin or even a counterfeit.

But back to your coin Dutchy!! I really like it as well, and I dont think it's NT either. Nice Pick Up!!

(Has anyone noticed all the Morgan threads today?)

Me, too! There is something about that crescent rainbow that doesn't sit well with me.

Nice coin. I don't think it's artificial toning

Neat looking toner. Hard to say either way if it's NT or AT. If it did tone in a bag, I could see how the obverse faced the bag, a fold in the bag laid on the reverse, which had two coins over lapping to protect the majority of it and created the odd crescent. It's possible. I like the reverse too.

Nice looking Morgan, don't know if it is AT or NT.

Seems like a good many Morgan threads indeed today..
