Philadelphia Whitman Show 9/15-9/17

Mixed up the dates, my bad.

Anybody else attending? I'll be there pretty much all day Friday, it's the only real major coin show in Philly every year. I'll be looking for some more nice, FB OGH Mercs to add to my hoard, might take some silver to sell as well... to buy more Merc dimes with, haha.

If anybody wants to meet up and get some lunch at Reading Terminal Market, which is literally right across from the convention center, I'd be down for it. I love RTM.

I'll be going with 1066merlin Merc. Not sure what day were going, but probably the first day it opens.

I'll be there on Friday morning. I hope I can stay for the 3:00 BCCS meeting. I ate at the terminal market last year. Food to die for!

 

I'm still waffling about going.
Costs me about $150 (Amtrak, cab, etc.)
At my age I don't like trying to drive and park in a city I don't know.

If I go it will be on Friday.
If MFD comes through with a coin for me then I'll probably make the trip.

 

I hope to see you there Dave. Mark and I will probably go on Friday so we'll keep an eye out for you.

That's what I am doing. Its pretty straightforward for me, just park and ride the train to Market St. East IIRC.

 

Looks like the Penny Lady is not going to be there.
So our usual gathering place is out.

Other ideas for a location?
As for time I suggest noon or thereabouts.

I believe you have to pay to get in on Thursday.

 

By their website, it opens to the public at 12:00. 10:00 is early bird and needs to pay.

Merc, I think I can catch it from Trenton, same deal though, park and ride...hopefully they get the damage from Irene taken care of by then

 

Slamster, you can take the West Trenton line right down there. I'll be making the trip down there at some point, dunno when, but I'll be down there. Been working down on 10th street so maybe I can park there and sneak away for a little bit... Hmm.. I'll definitely be there Saturday with my dad.

 

I don't know if any other dealers that post here with relative frequency would be attending, but I'd be all for meeting up there or somewhere near the front that's hard to miss.
