Absolutely beautiful. Pictures aren't the sharpest in the world, but from what I can see, I'd say you have a nice AU coin. I'm also a huge fan of the gold Indian's...in any grade they look spectacular. Clearly, one of the greatest designs on American coinage.
Nohing much but, I got the peso for $7 under melt so I'm happy =). Anyone know anything about the "J.E" counterstamp? I cant seem to find anything about it....
Nice stash but just a reminder to flatten those staples one of them sliding across another coin can ruin it.
Couldn't pass this up for the price. The more I stare at Lincolns, the more I love them. Now I just need to start picking up some nice wheat examples in MS. The scratches you see are on the slab, not the coin. Click for bigger pictures!
XF at min, the details are strong, no luster on the reverse and only moderate luster on the obverse, though, or I'd say AU.
That 1916 will go at least VF-20 according to my ANA Grading Standards book, or XF according to this site: http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/#/Mercury/Grades
I scored this Silver round the other day. I LOVE IT!!!! It's 5 ounces .999 and it's a hefty sucker. I had to block out the best part. PS - the glare killed the backside pic. On the back it says: The Zodiac Beauties Connoisours' Club Limited Edition
'40-S is a real well-struck coin for an S-mint Merc. Barely missed out on another coin, wasn't paying attention to the time and waited too long to get my bid in.
I thought so too. Love my OGH Mercs. Wait til this Friday, looking to see what I can pick up at the Whitman show in Philly. I like your round, by the way, haha. Gives a whole new meaning to coin porn.
