eBay is the government. Just because Meg Whitman lost her quiotic governors race (or was it the senate?) don't think for a minute that eBay hasn't fully wrapped their arms around the levers of the government. Truth is, I suspect the government rather likes any activity that disrupts precious metals trading or adds risk to investing in metals. Afterall, they're in direct competition with honest money, so why would anyone expect them to crack down counterfeits of their competition?

    Sad but true.
We SHOULD be able to do just that, but they'll laugh in your face.

Long story short: I was in charge of hiring at a business, I was presented a counterfiet SS card as ID by someone who couldn't speak English. The SS card/number were flagged as counterfiet by the govt's own quick check system that we were part of. I called the govt to report it and ask what to do with the fake card in my hand, and they told me to give it back to him! I told them that I was a citizen, the fake card harmed me and my country, it was illegal by their own system, so I was going to destroy the document... The lady on the phone had a full blown coniption fit and threatened ME with prosecution if I didn't return the card to the person using it!

That's how much our govt cares about us.

Yeah. I've seen the gov't raid a hand bag dealer at a mall. Lots of police, two mall cops, damn near a SWAT team at the roller cart vendor's stand taking hand bags.

They really care about that stuff for some reason. Not sure why.

My question: "What town in China do you ship from? I would like to do a business to business shipping because it would be good for my business."

But who is willing to test the seller's stupidity? I just can't bring myself to do it.

    Next question, from me:

"How do you ship USPS Parcel Post FROM China? That's not an option on the USPS website. TO China, Parcel post isn't an option and each package that's 5lbs (about 100 oz) costs about $50 shipping TO China. How can you offer FREE shipping on this deal???"

    :)

How do you guys know they are fakes? Isn't this like saying he's guilty without a trial?

When you profit $350 off each lot, I'm sure he will find a way to ship to anywhere.

You're absolutely correct... the CT lynch mob is out in full force. However, in this case, I'll be the judge and jury: Guilty As Charged.

Here is the question I asked the seller :
How did you come to own over 1000 Morgan Dollars? Since your selling them so cheap, I'll assume you are minting them yourself a? Why don't you create your own mint mark for the reverse of your Chinese "Morgans", like a B for Beijing?

Thank you. Of course, you could always turn this over to the jack-booted CFe (Coin Forgery eBay) group and let them do their dirty work. They are quite adapt at reporting auctions that they ASSUME are fakes. An eBay watchdog group that takes things to the extreme, and in their eyes, you are ALWAYS guilty until proven innocent.
