    Since last Friday afternoon...

It started with a couple of 90% junk silver deals over the weekend. Buried in one pile I found this rather nice 1896 Morgan...a high AU imo:

Later in the weekend, these pristine series 1976 $2 notes came my way, 4 in sequential order, as part of my change from an LCS

Then, early this week, this proof Kennedy half shows up in my change from a local convenience store:

Wednesday sees a series 2004 $20 star note from the bank...

And finally, yesterday, this series 2008 $100 star note is handed to me as part of a model airplane deal:

Admittedly, NONE of these are really all that spectacular or rare or great finds in any way...but it's just been pretty fun this week, as the unexpected or "unusual" keeps finding its way into my pocket.

Almost can't wait to see what our yard sale this weekend brings! :too-funny:

An entertaining $1 FRN serial number:

    And a 1982 UK 20 Pence:

Like before...nothing spectacular, but lots of fun. :) Never had so many "Oh hey, cool..." finds in a single week.

(Sorry for the crappy iPhone photos shot these in a hurry)

That's very cool gboulton. I've gone months without seeing a star note, let alone $2 bills. It also amazes me that you got a proof in change. What an awesome week.

I commented somewhere in another thread...my guess is someone busted up a set thinking the coins were silver, found out they weren't, and just spent 'em. *shrug*

2006, of course. My mistake, thanks!

I know somebody who has found Proof Small-sized dollars in change before!
