i have two 1968 pennies and the words in god we trust are not fully stamped onto the coin. i wanted to know if they were of any value

If you think they are errors then send them to a local dealer for an evaluation so they can tell you what is going on with the coin. Just from being here almost 2years now I can say that it's probably a grease filled die or possibly PMD but without pics we can only guess.

Like others said, we'd need photos to be sure, but it was more than likely the result of a grease-filled die rather than PMD. Grease-filled dies are very common, particularly on Lincoln cents, so most error collectors would probably not pay a premium for them since they can be found so readily. By the way, time cards and envelopes are "stamped", but coins are struck. Chris
