2008 hawaii quartero..proof?or fake? found in pocket change

    I am at a loss i just got this in change and it has a silver side like old coins.....anyone help with what it is.

    What is the mint mark on it?

    The copper does not always show on the edge. A silver proof would weigh in at 6.25 grams where the clad coins is 5.67 grams.

    P is the mm thats why im lost if it said s id be like ok proof.

    I looks like there is a P on the obverse. Could be my bad eyes.

    The planchets are punch pressed from a sheet and the outer layer smears when the punch starts to dull same as any industrial punch press.

    its probably silver plated . i found one a couple months (Alabama) and it weighs just a liitle over normal weight.

    others on here have posted they found the same thing ..... silver looking state quarters. i guess some company sold
    sets of silver plated state quarters and someone spent the set. Snowman

    Yeah it was in a set. I found the same thing only it was Indiana.
