That's pretty cool. It is post mind damage however.

No error. It's Post Mint Damage, meaning someone did that to the reverse after it was minted.

Looks like someone took a drill with a wire wheel bit to the end of that.

    NOBODY CAUGHT THIS? LOL!!

Welcome to CT Horsetrader! I've got a couple friends with a good eye for horses who got me my 3 loves. Keep looking for errors, there are a lot of interesting things out there-they are just a bit less obvious this PMD. Good luck and don't give up!

Yeah I saw it but I've been reprimanded in the past for correcting people's spelling errors.

Hey all you experts, just because you have never seen this minting error does not mean it is POST!! I have a 1999 Pennsylvania quarter with the EXACT same taper from the center and grind marks in the identical pattern and direction. Guess which mint it was from...?? Denver like this one.

So then inform us how this happened if its not PMD which it is.

Knowing how coins are minted, perhaps you can enlighten us with your expert thoughts on how this was done during the striking process?

    Professor!

play nicely guys! and keep the language clean. Just because someone is wrong doesn't give you permission to mock or belittle them.
