whent to a local fleamarket for the first time today. was kinda dissapointed there was only one guy with coins. was gonna grab a 1897 morgan that was blackend but still had good detail but there was a small spot of the green stuff(cant remember its name atm) so i opted out of spending the 40 on it. he pulled out a stack of what was suposed to be franklin and kennedy halves but mixed in with them was 2 barber halves. he stated they were 20 bux a pop then right after he noticed the barbers so i scooped this 1893 from him barber half 001 by woodsmen27, on Flickr its a lil beat up but it was in much better cond. then the 1903 he had barber half2 001 by woodsmen27, on Flickr
Does anyone remember this? It's a keychain with a 1964 Kennedy half dollar that was being sold in the years following President Kennedy's assassination. I got one for Christmas or a birthday one year back in the '60s, but I have no idea what happened to it. When I saw this one in a Japanese coin shop, I couldn't resist. The 1000-yen price is the equivalent of roughly $12.50 US.
Thanks. Japanese dealers don't seem to update their prices on US silver very often, so once in a while it's possible to pick something like that keychain coin up for less than melt. And I get something back from my childhood to boot The only problem is, the price sticker won't come off
The plastic cover is missing, and the price sticker is attached to the black paper which is glued onto the cardboard insert. I think applying water to it might do more harm than good.
:thumb: Nice pickup dwhiz!!!!:thumb: 1944-PDS Washington quarters are known to have DDR rev and MS-65 would be a good grade to have if it turn out to be a DDR!!! so I would ck the Cherrypicker guide you may have one?? :kewl:
I had to have it. I had to pay for it, but you know what they say about unique items. I had my eye on it as soon as it was listed and got to see it in person yesterday.
Very nice Get Some! The 45D below came today and the 43D was from the set (now removed) that I picked up at the WFOM. My pics do not do them justice!
Just got this in today. Hard to tell with the poor lighting but it is a 1981 D cent on dime planchet.
With it just being on a dime planchet and not double denomination I got it for $255. It was on E-Bay. I'll have it slabbed with my next batch. I have seen them slabbed in the $400 range.
