... Just took a few more photos of my '21 Peace I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Still not too satisfied... Didn't capture the luster as well as I would've liked and needs a bit of resizing, but, I guess I've just got to keep trying ! When I find some spare time to pull out my camera (this time in broad-daylight for diffuse lighting) I'll snap a few and add them to this thread. -Brian
Good-lookin' IKE, redwin! Don't see one milk spot or hairline on the thing! Very nice pick-up. ... Makes me regret selling my PCGS PR69DCAM 73-S Silver IKE recently. -Brian
I like the coin a ton, but since you are talking photography, I have been doing a small trick for my edgeview pictures that makes them look great. I put a small light inside an overturned clear tupperware container and set the coin on that for the photograph. It makes the dark shadow areas behind the coin lighter and works with pcgs slabs as well. When I have more time I plan on setting up a piece of glass so I don't build up heat inside the container.....Matt
Wait til you guys see what I bought off my dealer for melt last night. Nothing too crazy, but some nice coins.
Thank you Brian, The fact it is really hard now to find older slab specially Accugrade. Most of that slab cracked out...but peoples don't know ACG slab is the first slabbing coin in US.--So when it comes to history I can say to my friend/relatives without the Invention of the owner of Accugrade. The PCGS will never be born as second slabbing coin in USA. Why because the owner of PCGS paid 100 thousand US Dollar to Mr. Hager for his expertised and his Patent. Mr.Hager altered the course of history of coin/card collectors for his invention plastic holder slabbed. That's all.
Here are a couple other pickups from the show, My pics do them no justice! I actually picked up the war set just to upgrade 1 nickel from my current set. The token came from the grab bag at the ANA booth.
Glad we didn't have to arm wrestle for it! I have the 43D out and a very suitable replacement in there. The set is much more even now and my set has improved by a few notches! It was great meeting you and talking over a couple Bourbon and cokes!!! Looking forward to seeing the 43 and 45D!!!
:thumb: Not easy to find raw in this grade most 1911-S are culls if the not graded!!! But this 1911-S I call it EF for sure!!!:kewl:
