I have came across a 1931 dime with Roosevelt on the front. I have searched and searched google for anything about this dime, but everything I search comes up as 1931 Mercury Dimes. I cannot find anything whatsoever about a 1931 dime with Roosevelt on the face. Please help. And thanks too all who reply... I have included a pic..

it is probably a 1981 best way to see is the weight, and the sound.

It is dated '1981'. How could a coin have been struck 15 years before it was designed?

Also, in 1931 dimes were 90% silver. I am 100% sure that your coin is clad (like all dimes struck since 1965). Look on the edge of your coin and you may be able to see copper in between the copper-nickel layers.

Your coin is simply damaged and has no value above face value.
