Nice finds! Looks like the $5 is in a little better shape, but both for face value is worth it.

The $5 is in a bit better shape. These add to a total of 3 stars in my young note collection. I know it's not really a low serial but they are my lowest yet.

That's insane!!! That's lower than some of my BEP $10 low number FR set, which cost $35 bucks each...
Even in VF, It's at least 1.5X face value... The ink spot is the only thing that bugs me, but I can get over it cause it's pretty centered!

Here are a few of my recent finds. I have also found 12 more $1 star notes, but didn't really think they were worth photographing.
These have all been found at work.

I really like this. Cool serial and a star to boot!

rlspears, those are all awaesome notes, especially found at work and for face value. I'm not one to go crazy over special serials, but those are pretty cool.

What is the premium on lower serials? What about interesting serials with a star? I know they all very, but what's a ballpark range?

I got 1969 star $5 dollar this one a few year ago.it was used to buy a carton of smoke at my buddy tobacco shop.
I just wish it had been 1969A but for $5 bucks I can not fuss .

That's true jello, any time I get a star for face I feel pretty good about it.

I picked up a $100 strap of 2003 series $2 bills today, (No stars). They all look uncirculated or nearly and the whole strap is not consecutive. Should i spend them?

I know they are not rare. I just mostly see series 2003a. I am not interested in keeping them, so just wondering if i should cash them in or put them in the classifieds.

Thats funny, I didn't know a 1988 $20 had the signatures of a 1993 $20. I also didn't know that 1988 $20's had the MP printing around the face or a clearly saw anti-counterfiet measure going through the first letter in the left serial number from top to bottom. Oh and one more prob: No 1988 $20's were ever even made. Try 1988A, if thats what you have. :)

My latest finds. The $5 star is my second in this series. The next is my first date serial number. The last is just the lowest I have found so far.

Just found these. My wife found the $1. This is my first $2 star also. I like both 76 bills because the are in the best condition I have found in circulation for this series and they are sequential.

Even got the wife looking for you, lol. My girlfriend will hand me a stack of bills every few days and say " Here you go, I know you wanted to go through these." I've saved quite a few from the clutches of the cashiers!
