Been to the last two which were well worth it. This year to many conflicts. Those that are going ENJOY:hail:
I'll second that, especially the wine part. But wine always goes better with good food and good company.
By all means go, but a word of warning. You WILL experience sensory overload, and no other show your ever go to will seem to measure up. It is usually better if a collector works his way up from smaller shows to larger ones, but like I said if it is there GO!!
Sometimes folks don't have the opportunity to attend local shows......and then something "big", like the Chicago ANA happens. It's an opportunity to experiance a coin show on it's grandest scale. It really is something that (if you have the opportunity) you don't want to miss. I attended Boston last year. Sure wish I could go to the Windy City this year.......
mikenoodle - I will be at the show on Thurs and Fri. Let me know where you guys are goign for dinner, but I do not recommend Giordano's as it has cheapened the recipe big time. I heard it got bought out by some corporate company. It will be a great show, should be fun. Can't wait to meet you guys!
I was looking around on the ANA website for the WFM and found a floor plan. Somebody did a nice job drawing it up on Microstation. Just pan and zoom. Searchable too. I found it helpful. http://www.money.org/expocad/shows/2011chi/
That bourse floor is MASSIVE!! Since I have no PM's about dinner Thursday I'll post it again. Get a hold of either Mikenoodle or myself via PM and we will get you our contact info so we can all get together. I'm thinking we are going to have 8-10 folks so far... but I still need to get everyone info.
