Hi everyone, I compared this to other 42s i have and the tail on the two is much long than the others. There also looks to be slight doubling or machine doubling of the 4 and 2 as well. What your thoughts rotated die maybe , PMD 100_3079.jpg 100_3081.jpg

I would guess PMD. Looks like a rolling machine clipped it and stretched out the metal. That is just my opinion though.

In looking at the photo close up, it does look like the 4 is doubled, or am I imagining things.

The 1st photo shows the Tail exteneded off the two , Theedgeing the the two one curve about1 oclock postion and above the tail,

The four shows signs of doubling along the right side and also in the center of the four.
Im just puzzled , i dont know what to make of it, i know the two has a nick in the tail, but under a closer look its not pulled. Maybe worn dies???

  6. Sorry, but it's just PMD. It took a hit, and it got sheared. Nothing special

Hi Everyone, I brought the coin to my local coin shop today, I have only been in there a couple of times, They were able to look uder 20x mag, The coin shop said it does appear to be a double 4 with slight doubling on the edging of the two. They offered $25 for it, what your thoughts. I know from the pics it didnt look like much, but is it possible it could be somthing if they offered money for it??? I brought the coin back home and put it back in a flip.

  14. Really? Well, I appologize. The best way to see a picture is to look straight on. Next time, try and take pictures of the coin straight on, just so you know :)

I want try to get better photos to show more detail, any idea. thank you frank

  16. Your digital camera, does it have the macro setting? Most do. It's the little flower symbol. That helps with really close shots.

Yes, it just seems that most times when i use this setting the natual light in the room needs to be just right, if not the camera adjust to the different shades f color and they come out terrible, then i i use a lamp to try to keep the color balance. I have seen the scopes online and there a little expensive but it seems they will allow you to get a better soom image and you can change the magnifiaction. With now having the built in screen you can watch it as you move your coin. There not like the old ones where its like look throug a loop. Just wondering if anyone uses this type and how it works for them.

  19. For showing dates and what not, I do it the easy way. All you need is a digital camera with a high resolution. You can easily get a 12 Megapixel camera for around $100. All you need to do is focus on the coi, take the picture, crop, and enlarge. I did that with this 1929-D wheatie:
