Picked these up on Ebay for a couple bucks apiece, including shipping. First one is fairly worn, but the date and most major details are visible. The second has the full liberty and feather details on the head dress still in tacked! (Which you may or may not be able to see from the pics....camera phone). I feel like the second was a major score. I do, of course realize that they aren't worth that much, not the dates I have anyway. But I've been looking for a nice detailed coin for my collection. I finally have one. I've very excited ^_^

Nice, congrats, I've been looking for a 19th century AU/UC IHC for a type set.

    Good pickup.

    For your pictures us:
    - a bit more light
    - a non-reflective black ground
That should be a good start in improving them.

Oh I know how to photograph coins, the issue is that my best friend currently has possession of my actual camera. Right now all I have is my phone, which is not very good at taking macros lol. Really I just wanted a couple snaps, because pick up threads are no fun without photos.
